| Dan Riesreceived the following: If any Vietnam Handler can answer
My father was Dan Ries he was a Master Instructor at Lackland AFB at one time. Well he passed away back in 91 due to cancer. Did not know much about him but he had a way with dogs. I have search the many sites on the net dealing with military dog handlers but in my search the only information that I was able to find out was Don Connors who I knew for a while before he passed away in the 90’s. Don Connors was a good friend to my family but I did not talk to him much about my father. You can say that my father was well respected in the K9 committee but to tell you the truth at times I did not really know him. Well what I am trying to say that I am trying to learn more about him. The things that I know was that he was a master instructor at Lackland AFB, he was station in Germany in the 70’s and before that I was told that he did a 1 year remote in Thailand during the Vietnam War. If you can help with more information would be very helpful I am just a son who is trying to learn more about his father.
