| Re: Vietnam K-9 equipment question - research helpHello,
During my research about Vietnam war military working dogs,I recently saw something that I have never seen or heard about before.
It was a 1967-dated (government issue tag) "dog blanket" with clasps on the bottom so it be worn by the dog. The blanket had a big "US" stamped on both sides of the outside.
Questions for our Vietnam K-9 vets: Have you ever seen anything like this used in the field during the war?
Any help would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Ron Werneth

| Re: Vietnam K-9 equipment question - research helpRon,
Never saw one used in Nam but I used them in Korea 65-66 and Stateside in 66. I actually still have one for my dog that I handled stateside in 66.
This dosen't really answer your question about use in Nam but they were used by the Air Force of that era.
