31st SPS

As the Unit Director I have been a little lax in locating the handlers that have served with us at Tuy Hoa. I am hoping to get those who come to San Antonio for the reunion, together in my room for a good ole BS seseion. If you know of a handler who is not a member, forward his name and what info you have on them and I will try to make contact with them. Thanks
SEE YA IN SAN ANTONIO

Hey Zip
I just renewed my membership after a few years. Can't make San Antonio but wish the best to you and all that go. I ran into a bunch of pictures that include you playing your "electric guitar" at Phan Rang before we went to Tuy Hoa. Different world wasn't it.
Best to you

New guy in VDHA as of Sep 07. Planning on going to the San Antonio reunion. Was in Tuy Hoa May 69 to Dec 70. Any fellow handlers from that time period? Handled Duke 738F and Shadow 304M.

Joe--Short answer...No. Not in contact with anyone else from Tuy Hoa during the time I was there. George Rebele and David Stull, registered on our unit board, were there when I was and I remember them but not in touch. Doing OK. Retired US Civil Service and VA Disability 40%. Are you going to the reunion in Riverside? Found one person I'm in touch with through VDHA and that was my roomie in dog shcol, LAFB. What a fluke!

re: 31st SPS

Phil,

Sorry its taken me so long to sign up and join this association, but I have watched this website for quite a few years.

I have a VN flag that most of the guys sign when I was there in 68-69. So I'll pull it out of a storage box and see if I can roundup a few names so we can grow our 31st Membership.

Joe,

Visit my bio page and you'll see what I've been up to for the last 40 years. I think I still have pictures of you frying up some beans trying to make some edible burritos. We need to plan to get together at one of these reunions real soon. Before we get to damn old to leave the house or they pull our drivers licenses. Especially me because I was the old guy in the group. Keep in touch.

Gary

Gary, great to hear from you, have always enjoyed your Xmas cards and family updates.
Hey Bud I still have the picture of you and your lovely bride after your wedding, time has not deminished your youth nor the beauty of your bride.
Have through the years attempted to locate other handlers from Tuy Hoa but to no avail, Karen and I are visiting Dave Booth and Alice his wife who are now in Chicago sometime around February 20th or so.
Karen and I are now in WA, retired and enjoying what God has provided, please keep in touch, CO is a hop skip and jump from Chicago, take care Joe.

Phil Savage; My name is David Booth, and I was stationed in 1968 and remember you. I hung around with Joe Guerreo, Tony Vasquez. Please let me know about the reunion in San Antonio as I have no info about it.
