Police K-9 Trials - Special Memorial

The Police K-9 Trials, sponsored by the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Association (ALECA) will be holding their annual competition April 13 and 14, at Scottsdale Stadium, Scottsdale, AZ. On Sundays, they have always conducted a short Memorial ceremony to honor and remember the fallen canine handlers and/or canines the past year. I made a request this year if I could have my 3 posters showing the fallen military handlers in Iraq and Afghanistan on the field and be included in the remembrance. ALECA is taking it to a higher level. They will be showing photos of each handler and their canine partner on the Jumbo-Tron and and announcer reading short bio of each handler, with his or her canine's name. I am proud to say that Steve Janke and his canine partner Kobuk X433 will also be included to represent the Vietnam handlers and the Vietnam canines who did not come home. My thanks to ALECA and specifically to Tim Laskowsky for doing this at the event.
