Greetings,
Bob Peay passed away this
afternoon at the V.A. Hospital in Asheville, NC after a long illness.
I
received a call from Harold Manning, who visited with Bob today and a followup
phone call from Sylvia's son. Memorial services are tentatively scheduled
for June 24th in Boone, N.C.
As more information becomes available I
will pass it on. Keep Sylvia and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
I've attached a photo of Bob taken at the VDHA Reunion in San Antonio in 2008.

Obituary:
Mr. Robert Peay was born on Sunday, July 21, 1946 and passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.
Mr. Peay was a resident of Boone, North Carolina at the time of his passing.
Bob was a US Air Force Veteran having served with the 366th SPS (DaNang & Phan Rang) in Vietnam 1967-1968. Bob handled Sparky (Tattoo Unknown).
Memorial services for Mr. Robert Craven Bob Peay Jr. will be conducted Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 1 PM at the First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Roy Dobyns and Rev. Harold Bennett. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Home of NC Optimist Cottage, PO Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
