Richard “Dick” Bowman, grew up in Beulah, MI, and joined the USAF in 1950. He spent 22 years in the Air Force K-9, retiring as a Technical Sergeant in 1972. He joined his dad at Bowman's Sport Shop, later bought the business and sold it in 1982. He worked as the head of the Record Patriot's advertising sales department until his retirement in 1995. He was a hunter, angler, bowler, and avid golfer.
