03/12/2010
Frankfort, Kentucky

It was a great day today in Frankfort, Kentucky, for the proclamation declaring March 13, 2010 as K-9 Veterans Day.

On March 12, 2010 The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate passed a resolution declaring Saturday, March 13, 2010 as K-9 Veterans Day.

In the state of Kentucky, Rep. Tim Moore and Sen. Elizabeth Tori introduced the bills to get it through the State House and Senate.

Active duty dog handlers from Ft. Knox were Sgt Radar and SSgt Hansen along with military working K9 Dax. from the Ft Knox Law Enforcement Command, were on hand for the reading of the resolution.

We were treated great!  Just wanted to let everyone know how excited we all are about pulling this off.  Our 4 legged heroes have earned much more respect than they have ever received.
