OBITUARY:

Mr. Vernon “Glenn” Core, age 72, of Dunn, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh. Glenn was born in Dunn on September 2, 1943.

He served our Country as a Dog Handler, handling Ace-5F03, with the 12th SPS at Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam during 1966-1967 in the U S Air Force.

He retired from Morganite Corporation with Thirty years of service.

His father James Vernon Core

His Daughter Melissa Ivey Zandiotis

Richard Doak, 73, who passed away October 10, 2017 at his home.
He is survived by:
His Mother: Margaret Core of Dunn, NC

His Wife of 28 years: Annette Core of Dunn, NC

His Sons: Glenn Core, Jr. and wife Bridgett of Erwin, Michael Ivey and wife_Denise of Benson, Robert Ivey and wife Christy of Dunn, Nicholas Ivey of Dunn and Justin Ivey of Raleigh.

Grandchildren: Valerie Mathes, Larry Wayne Wise, Victoria Wise, Amber Ivey, Amber Johnson, Joshua Core, Elizabeth Core, Kristen Ivey, Callan Core and Tristen Ivey.

Four Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.  Bobby Glen Tew Officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Williford Cemetery, Dunn, NC.

The Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Glenn and Annette Core.
