Post: Just received this information this AM from Gary Smith. He received an update on Pat Pankey, 981st MP Co. 69-70 passed away last year, November 9 in his hometown of Edinburgh, IN. We received this info from his friend and fellow dog handler from his unit, Charles Burchard. Pankey leaves behind wife, Dianne and son, Michael. He served in the Pleiku Detachment and handled Shep M091. He retired in 2008 from the Edinburgh Police Department after 33 years. He was 67 years old.
