Smokey on the obstacle course at NKP

October 1970 - March 1971 Served at NKP 56th SPS K-9. My dogs name was Smokey 04X6. March 1971 - October 1971 served at Udorn RTAFB 432nd SPS K-9. My dogs name was Toni 4A93. October 1971 - November 1973 served at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. I handled Fels 0K54. Honorably discharged at that time and spent 2 years inactive reserve. 1976 - 1980 enlisted in Air Force Reserves at Scott AFB in Illinois. Served as a Med-Tech for 4 years Honorably discharged as a E-5 Staff Sgt. I retired on disability on May 5 2015, , My contact with herbicides used on the perimeter I patrolled caused a early onset of Diabetes type 2, which has led to neuropathy of both legs and fingertips, amputation of all toes on my right foot and some partial amputations on my left foot. As a result I have been granted a 90% disability with unemployability. My profession at the time of my retirement was as a Locksmith at Hollywood Casino in Maryland Heights, MO, May 2015.
