me to announce the passing of my personal friend, neighbor and fellow dog
handler, Charlie Guzak on September 23rd, 2017.
I just read about it in our Sentry Dog Alumni Newsletter
and was shocked and hurt I missed his funeral as we lived in the same city.
Charlie was with the 981st MP Co. in Pleiku
1968-1969. He will join his MWD Pete-A043 at the rainbow bridge.
I got him to
go to our San Antonio Reunion in 2011 and encouraged him to apply for VA benefits.
He was able to get his 100 percent Service Connected Disability after they confirmed his Agent Orange
related cancer.
Just when he thought treatment helped control it, and even thought
it was in remission, it came back and took him.
RIP Charlie.
