Biography: Tina X768 and me, sitting for a portrait in the obstacle course area outside the kennels at NKP.
I was born in 1948 in Chicago Ill., lived all over the country, graduated from HS in 1966, and went to college for two years. I dropped out of college in 1968, enlisted in the Air Force, and volunteered for Security Police, Sentry Dog Handler. I was a K-9 handler for SAC’s 449th Heavy Bombardment Wing at Kincheloe, MI (nuclear alert B-52s); 7/13th Air Force’s 355th Tactical Fighter Wing at Takhli, Thailand (F-105s, F-105 Wild Weasels, EB-66s); and MACV-SOG’s 56th Special Operations Wing Nightfighter K-9s at Nakhon Phanom, Thailand (A-1s, CH-53s, OV-10s, O-2s, AC-119s). When I came back from overseas I cross-trained into still photo lab work, and was processing aerial-recon film from RF-4Cs for the 12th Tac Recon Squadron, 67th Tac Recon Wing at Bergstrom AFB Texas for my last year in the Air Force. |
