Date of Death: Friday, September 5th, 2014 Just got email from Dan Byrd that Dan
Kottwitz's nephew reported his passing on Friday, September 5, 2014 of liver
failure. No arrangements have been made yet for his funeral. Kottwitz served
with the 212th MP Company in Dalat from 1965-1966. His MWD was Match 422E. He
hailed from Webster, NY. R.I.P. Ernie Ayala
Obituary:
Webster, NY: Passed peacefully on September 5th 2014. He was
born in Belfast, NY in the year 1942. He was predeceased by his parents,
Irvin and Mary Jane Kottwitz, his brother Walter, and sister Lois Jane. He
is survived by his sister Berniece Foley and many nieces and nephews. Dan
was a quiet soul with a great sense of humor and a quick smile for all. A
veteran of the Vietnam War as a US Army dog handler. After a successful
career at Kodak, retired and lived in the town of Webster until his passing. The family will be meeting privately in remembrance.
