William A. Atwell, Jr., 82, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home. He was the husband of the late Jeanne H. (Poisson) Atwell. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William A., Sr. and Hilda (Lewis) Atwell. Mr. Atwell was a precious metal salesman for Geib Refining Company for 25 years before he retired. He was a proud Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He also belonged to several canine handler associations. He leaves two children, Donna J. Therriault and Bruce W. Atwell,(Ret.Sgt.E.P.P.D,) and his wife Kerrie, three grandchildren, Katherine Therriault and her boyfriend Ryan Enegren, William Therriault and Ava "Kate" Atwell and one sister, Nancy Sutcliffe. His funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 9:30 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Potter League for Animals would be appreciated
