| | Biography:
I was drafted and required to report for duty in August 1970. After AIT I volunteered and was selected for Combat Tracker Dog Handler training school at Ft. Gordon GA. After graduation with my class of 24 great guys I got orders to report to Vietnam where I was assigned to C Co 2/1, the 196th LIB. After almost two months of humping the bush carrying a M-60, I met the 48th IPSD commander in the field, told him I was a trained dog handler and he transferred me to his unit. This is kind of why I ended up with all you DogMen in the VDHA. ;-) |
